This year the public day
was held in Assen, main city of the provence Drenthe. On the famous
circuit of Assen all was ready to receive thousands of visitors. In a giant
hall everything was build up to show the people what we do for a living and
what kind of equipment we use. There were demonstrations of K9 personal,
SWAT and RIOT teams, military police etc.. Main goal of this day was to get
people with ethnic backgrounds interested for a job with the police. The
FPMT was, of course, also present. With uniforms, patches and a small
group in front of the big hall.

October 2006
Speelpark Nienoord were this year again it stage of the annual open day of the three cooperating northern regions.
At the end of the day it appeared that more than 32,000 people had visited the open day. This became later a national record. So many people on an open day had never been. This year less was spent on material such as balloons and stickers but further information was supplied on the trade and walks of the police force. Public in all components it was expressly involved and this was appreciated particularly.

November 2005
On 8 November of this year a topic evening concerning the police force in the present organised the
Historical Association Sneek and executed. Striking the large rise, wide was 150 persons, who had spent for the greater part their operative life at the different police forces such as the local
County Police, the National Police and the Royal Military Police. By means of a dia serial and tales from the first hand a picture was outlined of living
as a police-officer. To me the task dress the room slightly. That was not such a problem. And I had still
a nice evening also!

October 2005
For the first time the three northern regions clasped the hands and the open day
was organised together. This meant for many colleagues to meet new fellow
collegues. It became a beautiful day, thanks to the splendid weather. Also the surroundings, in
Speelpark Nienoord, had been very arranged for. More than 30,000 people descended on the event and could thereby meet with
all the beautiful items the police force has to offer.

September 2005
Some years ago learned to know
Zorro, which is his nickname. He was then operative in a medical profession but
wanted into the police force. That that succeeded eventually did not was not
astonishing because he is the right man for the job. Already before he applied he was already busy with collecting
items of the Dutch police force. Meanwhile he is an operative member
of the Dutch police force. He also has succeeded in a beautiful collection bringing together caps. A number of photographs of its
collection you can retrieve behind this nicely helmet of the former Korps
Rijkspolitie.

October 2004
As well as previous year we
took part in the rural open day of the Dutch police force. For the region Fryslan this year had been chosen for Sneek.
This meant therefore meeting again old acquaintances. For my own collection,
I had made this year the choice to appear with a complete Dutch score. This was a large success because it was very recognizable for
the public, which showed up in large numbers. More than 10,000 visitors came to Sneek.
It became a long, hot, great day for all the participants.

Februar 2004
Fellow colleague and fellow
trader Jacek Michalkowski from Poland has arranged a small exposition in his
office. Three caps comes however from the stocks of the Frysk Plysje museum. It is always nice
to see your own caps in other people's collection. Therefore I was very happy with the photographs that he
transmitted to me.

October 2003
After a year delay this year a rural open day was held. For the
Frisian police force this meant that Dokkum was the place to be. The Frysk Plysje museum were present with a promotion team and managed their own score. The promotion team was deployed by the organisation in the entrances of the area and shared from that programmes notebooks. Furthermore were the ladies provide with
stickers and balloons, which were distributed to the children. All in all it was a succeeded day. Next year do we
it again.

July 2003.
Dennis Groenhof of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police paid a visit to the Frysk Plysje museum this summer. Beside its pleasant presence he brought with
him also a trunk full of items for the collection which was accepted of course gratefully. Dennis
is of origin Frisian and knew the Frisian language still well. I got the official weapon of the R.C.M.P. distributed
which will get a special spot in the museum.

2003: On 3 May 2003 we brought a visit to our
"dependence'' in Slochteren'. Of course we did not come with empty hands because to the President of the I.P.A. Groningen,
also museum director, Hilbrand Buurma became an original sword of a field guard gauze for the country - excluded handed over. For Menno accelerate, the conrector of the museum, we
had taken a uniform of the environment police force along as well as a waistcoat, which in former times
was used by the female police force staff of the Korps Rijkspolitie. Menno
has it's own collection which is aimed entirely at the Dutch police
force.

2002:
In April 2002 I was asked help with to a
exposition in honour of the national release day in Sexbierum. A beautiful occasion
to show my collection to a larger public. During the two-day event the collection
was monitored by a pair of WO II war veterans who had a exposition in the same room
also.

2001:
Again present at the rural open day of police force
Fryslan. This time no uniform show had been incorporated in planning but came by mattering
of the group. Also the conservator had believe, a public action, in the new uniform of the Dutch police
force. It was the second, and last, time that I wore a uniform from my own
collection.

This
year the open day of the region police force Friesland, was organized around the head office
in Leeuwarden. For the first time the team was not used for one or more uniform shows, but was as
present in the area as a promotion team. Moreover its own score was arranged with a number of other matter from the
collection. An experience which is for recurrence subject.

June 2000:
As a promotion team were we involved at the two-day Oldtimershow in Lelystad. The uniforms which were carried corresponded to the countries of from which the vehicles came. It was a long, warm day with unexpected meetings.

June 1999
After my
exposition in the Select Oldtimer museum in Joure, I got the possibility of
sharing my collection in the Histo Mobil museum in Giethoorn. With owner Erik
Maat we put many items and dummies with uniforms into the museum.
The Histo Mobil can be found museum at the Dwarsgracht 42 in 8355 CH Giethoorn.

After
eleven years of collecting, I got the chance of showing my collection to the general public.
My colleague Wim Bouland had recommended me at museum director Jolle
Jonkers. And therefore I could expose a complete year in select Oldtimer museum in Joure. It
was very hard to hear that the museum some years later had be closed because it none experienced or hardly support of the local
government.

August 1997:
Open day
of the region police force Friesland, in front of the Abe Lenstra stadium in
Heerenveen. The television station SBS 6 made of this prerecordings and a part of the uniforms was
shown on TV. In the stadium the national championships police force dogs
were
kept.

December 1994:
And
another show this year. The basis entity Drachten opened its new office. Because of bad
weather, the uniform show was kept inside. As some ride horseback also it
was good to see that their fellow rides were present also.

With the same intention on the regional woman day of police force Friesland, the governing board of the woman emancipation group to the present female colleague
was presented. It does not turn out better than expected moreover: as male lady speaker
on a woman day a vogue show to present!!

1994:
At the request of
my sister Willy a uniform show was kept in Huize Moria at peat dam. Let make the show it had been meant the occupants in a different way knowledge with the staff. Many staff members were not recognised by the occupants in their other uniforms.

1994:
Again a vogue show, this time on the matter grant in Ureterp. With no less than 20 mannequins
we showed for an unexpectedly general public (more than 350 persons) a large number of uniforms.

October 1993:
Three evenings and
a complete Saturday were taken part in several compositions in "Grant Drachten
presents". As a promotion team of the county police Smallingerland we formed an
excellent team. On the eve of the reorganisation appeared that cooperation was very
well.

June 1993:
And again a uniform was added to the
collection. Wendy Hoekstra - Prinsen, gave to the museum a uniform of the Niagara Regional Police. The uniform is originating from
her brother Jim who is a member of the Niagara Regional Police Force. Wendy
is Canadian of birth and is now resident in Lemmer.

1992:
Enthusiastically touched by the responses
later that year, this time once again a show was kept in Lemmer. The man on the
left is the famous Herr Flick, in rings of police force Lemmer well known of
the British TV series Allo Allo.

1992:
Opening of the police station at Lemmer. For the first time
with the collection. Together with Tom Coehoorn, vogue entrepreneur Lemmer, and
lady speaker Hilda Boesjes we organized the first uniform show ever. Fourteen ladies were
found prepared to work as a mannequin for this experiment.
